Project 52 [Twenty-Twelve]: Week 17 ~ 6th Street Angel

The My Four Hens Project 52 theme this week is white. Curtis and I went down the the Warehouse District last night. We wandered around, ate at the Cedar Door, then walked up and down 6th Street. If I have time in the next week or so, I’ll blog about our whole adventure but in the meantime,…

Weekly Photo Walk: Friday Night in Austin

This week, Curtis and I had our photo walk on Friday night instead of Sunday. Wasn’t there some kind of important sporting event happening on Sunday? My mom had Dominic so Curtis and I took Anna out to eat and decided to try someplace new, someplace in the downtown area, and take our cameras. We…

Lauren - I love your photography walks! This one is so different from the waterfall. We were kinda busy on Sunday too. ;)

I’m hard pressed to choose which is my favorite. Leaning bench, but maybe fork and maybe your first shot, of the 24.

Nomi Creative - A photography walk is a great idea :) I think I may ask my husband if he would like to do the same. I really like the first image. I am fascinated by images that showcase typography. Very cool!!!

valerie - i just love how comfortable you are shooting in public. i get so scared to shoot outside of my home… arg.

the detail shots are my fav. the straw, the fork and the rings. Oh and the first one too… 24. as always, you’re so inspiring!! :)

jessicaremus.wordpress.com/ - I love looking at these! They are so much fun. I especially liked the close-up of your frosty icy coke – um I just love coke! It made me want to go get one :) Fantastic! Great job capturing low light. I felt like I was walking along with you guys.

jessica - Wow, sorry I have no idea what happened there! I was trying to say I love these, I felt like I was out walking along with you guys…and I love the close up of your icy coke – made me want one :)

Claire Lane - These are great Holly! I think you are brave to shoot out and about like this, you have to put aside those inhibitions of what other people think and just go for it! I too love the irony of the bike photo! So glad you all had a great time despite no ice cream :-(

Heather T. - Wow, what a fabulous series of photos–each one of them delightful in their own way. Aioli is just mayonnaise with garlic; fontina is actually a fairly mild cheese, kind of like gouda. Must have been something else that was bitter!

I really like your street photography here, and the fork, and glass rim, and straw shots too!

Natalie - I love these! I need to branch out into night-time photography… you’ve inspired me!

Date night out on the town

Curtis and I had a rare Saturday date night out on the town here in Austin. We celebrated his achievement of a career-high bonus. WTG, baby! (And thanks, Mom, for babysitting!) We started off at Sullivan’s in the Warehouse District, our most favorite restaurant in town, then walked over to 6th Street, went down one…
