Macro Monday: Rhymes with “Stone”

Monday, November 20th, 2017

This week’s theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is “Rhymes with Stone.” From this week’s instructions (from Janet Towbin):

We will be playing a rhyming game for next week’s theme. You can choose any English word that rhymes with STONE and take a macro of it. That means you can photograph a stone, a phone, a scone, a cone, a bone, a drone, a throne, a trombone or a calzone, etc. Be sure to include the rhyming word you are using in case it isn’t obvious to us. Here is a good resource offering a fairly complete list of end-rhyming stone words.

There is a maximum of 3″ (7.6 cm) as a guideline for the group including negative space: That means photographing something NO LARGER than 3” (7.6 cm) in its largest dimension or photographing a mere 3″ (7.6cm) of a larger object. Tag your photos with “Macro Mondays” and this week’s theme “Stone Rhyming Zone” or #MacroMondays # StoneRhymingZone.

Cologne

Shortly after we moved to New Braunfels, Curtis’s travel schedule started getting more demanding. Since he is such a frequent traveler, he never checks his bag to save time. He was musing that he missed wearing cologne since most bottles were larger than the allotted 3 ounces. I went on the hunt! So for the following Christmas, I searched Amazon for the best rated colognes that were 3 ounces or smaller and found Nautica. I had never purchased a cologne without smelling it first, so I wasn’t sure if it would be a hit or a waste of money. He really liked the scent but I really LOVED it. We fell in love all over again after moving here and now the scent makes my tummy flip-flop. Anytime I smell it now, it makes want to bury my nose in his neck and snuggle. <3 I didn’t realize how low it was getting… hmm… Christmas is right around the corner! 😉
