365 in 52 [2013] ~ Week Forty-Five

I am off my game… photographically speaking. My FIL, Curt, was here all week and did SO much work but I got no photos; he and Curtis tore out all of our front shrubs and landscaping (cannot wait to get some new plants in there!), power-washed our deck and fence, replaced some broken fence boards, fixed all of our gates, fixed our bathroom doorknob, fixed the washer hot water line, and tackled the garage. The garage that, when we moved in, our painters primed it incorrectly and over the years the heat caused the paint to peal along the seams. The entire garage had to be emptied, sanded (oh gosh, do I wish I had taken a photo of Curt and Curtis all covered with white sawdust!), re-taped, floated, mudded, holes patched, primed, and painted. I’m sure I’m missing something too. They were busy boys. So during this intense week of work, I didn’t take hardly any pictures. Several days, I didn’t even pick up my camera. Sigh. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. We did celebrate Curtis’s 44th birthday on Friday and I made myself go out for a little wildflower walk, so I got a couple of pictures.

From my Composition and Creativity days, sometimes I deliberately compose and image with the Golden Triangle guide.

Day 312 ~ Happy 44th Honey

Curtis turned 44. Happy Birthday, Honey! Of course, we had to celebrate at the Front Porch. 🙂

Day 315 ~ Grandpa and Anna

Grandpa had a great visit while he was here and didn’t actually work the entire time. We had to celebrate the end of his trip with yet another visit to the Front Porch. He and Anna had some good times.
