2013 CM Blog Circle: May ~ Beautiful Ugly

I’m participating in a blog circle with other Clickin Moms for 2013. May’s challenge is called “beautiful ugly” which could mean shooting something not ordinarily thought of as beautiful and making it look good, or vice versa.

I have a rose bush in my front yard that is gorgeous when it blooms. The roses don’t last long though and one day I noticed a particularly pretty cluster of roses had started to die. I thought about the cycle of life and of beauty. I see beyond the surface and find beauty in unexpected places… I hope I captured that here.

I also happened to capture this little creature hiding out on the roses. Kinda beautiful in his own ugly way too, yes?
