Fireworks, One Off of the Bucket List

There are a number of photos I have on my bucket list to capture… lightning, a waterfall with slow exposure so it looks like cotton candy, and many more. Fireworks has been on the list for a long time. My mom kept the kids most of the day (and Curtis and I took a very much needed and appreciated afternoon nap!) so we went out tonight in search of fireworks to photograph. We were reticent to go downtown… it typically attracts 100,000 people for the Town Lake/Auditorium Shores fireworks display. We didn’t want to deal with the traffic or people, so when we heard about the Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival over Lake Pflugerville, we decided to give it a go. Great view, not too many people (well… until it was time to leave), and I get to cross this one off of my bucket list. Yay!!!

Everyone lined up along the edge of the lake waiting for the events to begin.
