Project 52 [Twenty-Twelve]: Week 11 ~ Backyard Bluebonnets

This week’s theme from My Four Hens for Project 52 is blue and what better subject to use than bluebonnets! We’ve had a lot of rain this spring here in Central Texas and the wildflowers are so happy. I’ve been location scouting and found some amazing patches of gorgeous blooms. In fact, I did my first spring session this week with a pair of cutie-patootie redheads and I’m super excited to share those images in the next week or so. This image is from an area just behind our house. I love the juxtaposition of the bluebonnets with the creamy yellow wildflowers… such pretty bokeh.

It was spring break for us this week and I took the kids to the Austin Rodeo, then Curtis and I went there after dark and got some really cool long exposure photos. I can’t wait to share all of the fun images I got this week so be on the lookout for new posts soon. Thanks for looking!
