Project 52 [Twenty-Twelve]: Week 10 ~ Beautiful with Personality

This week’s theme from My Four Hens for Project 52 is personality! My oldest child, Jenny, now 20, has always had a huge, exuberant personality. I can remember her being two years old sitting in the shopping cart chatting up the checker and the customers around us… within just minutes, a quiet, grumpy line turned into a chatty, friendly one. She fell in love with music in kindergarten and had more CDs than I did by the time she was in the third grade. As she’s gotten older, she’s forged her own path and stuck by her convictions. She’s always been teaching me more than I have taught her! This week, she got accepted to Texas State University for her junior year in college majoring in criminal justice, she also got accepted into the Citizen’s Police Academy, she got a new job, and she got her tax refund. I helped her with none of those things. She really has grown up!

One part of Jenny’s personality that’s always stood out has been her love of the art of makeup. She’s watched so many YouTube tutorials on applying makeup, then putting them into practice, that she could be a MUA. The way she plays with hues, pushes beyond convention, and discovers gorgeous new creations, further defines her unique individuality. I shamelessly begged her to surprise me with a pretty makeup application, then be my model for this week’s theme. We’ve had rain all week, I decided to use my Brolly Box and go with studio light and a reflector. This was my favorite image because she had her hand up by her face and I caught a portion of her Faith-Love-Hope ring and her new Hunger Games inspired nail polish called Stone Cold.
