Hi! My name is Holly. I used to be a project manager and technical writer, then I had my sweet Anna, a little girl with multiple special needs. That was in 2001 and in the jumble of doctor's appointments and therapy sessions, ARD meetings and IEP goals, I've discovered photography, digital art, and blogging ~ avenues in which to express and create the magical side of life... one of connections, relationships, and beauty. My search for tranquility is often elusive but the journey is very rewarding.

Holly Anissa Photography is a legal, insured business and I accept only a few commissioned sessions each month. I am primarily a natural light portrait and lifestyle photographer shooting on location in and around Austin, Texas. I also have studio space in my home. I'm proud to volunteer for The F.I.L.M. I haven’t participated in a challenge for i heart faces in a long time! This week’s challenge is Hugs & Kisses and I couldn’t resist. This is a photo from a donated session I did in the fall for Anna’s former PPCD (preschool program for children with disabilities) teacher. Sarah and her husband, Brent, adopted three children with special needs, two of which are brother and sister. In this photo, Addie is leaning down to kiss Whitaker. I just love the genuine connection and love shown here. <3
