The beginning of April unleashes a whole new set of challenges at 9th & Bloom! If you are unfamiliar with our challenges, they are a fun and easy way to earn cash to the store. Every month, we offer 5 new challenges in our Challenge District. For each challenge you complete, you earn one point. Save 12 points to redeem for a $10 gift certificate to 9th & Bloom! The challenges include: Inspired Impressions, Template Fusion, Vintage Corner, Trendsetter, and Shutterbug. Trust me, these are fun, easy, and can really inspire you to push your creativity!
As the permanent host of the Shutterbug Challenge at 9th & Bloom, I invite you to join me in learning more about photography.
I love photography and I’m really excited to be offering new challenges to grow your photography skills each month. After all, scrapping is all about the photos! For the April Shutterbug Challenge, I challenge you get creative with where you are focusing and look for something reflective. Start examining everything around you for reflective surfaces and how you would frame your subject so that you can see them/it. Challenge yourself to find unusual reflections… kitchen appliances, water, glass buildings. A mirror works also! Tell us a little bit about your subject too.
I also participated in this month’s Vintage Corner Challenge. Ann has challenged us to make a modern vintage layout with our present day photos, possibly worn by photo treatments, with a modern kit not specifically vintage or heritage in anyway unless you want to, and it must include lace. So I used a recent photo of Jenny and came up with this:
Everything except the lace is from 9th & Bloom’s newest collab kit, Details in the Fabric now available at The DailyDigi (the lace is from By Becca’s Ashton’s Romance kit).
And finally, a new release from one of our newer designers, Creations by Rachael B. This fun, artsy kit was perfect for scrapping some arts and crafts photos of Anna and Dominic.
So come play with us! We have such a lovely forum and we’d love to have some new friends. Thanks for looking and see you there!
